Honors in the Major Orientations

The Burnett Honors College holds several orientations for Honors in the Major students at the beginning of each semester.  These orientations are strictly intended for new students who have been admitted to the Honors in the Major program and who are enrolled in their first semester of Directed Readings.  Our program requires that new students attend one Orientation during their first semester in the Honors in the Major program.

The purpose of the orientation is to provide a comprehensive overview of the Honors in the Major program, including research organization and time management, the role of the thesis committee, topic development using multiple approaches, thesis defense, and publication.  Other representatives from the UCF community will also discuss campus resources for undergraduate researchers and thesis writers.

Spring 2016 Orientation Schedule:
Tuesday, January 19: 2:00-3:30 (BHC 130)
Wednesday, January 20: 1:30-3:00 (BHC 130)
Thursday, January 28: 10:00-11:30 (BHC 130)
Friday, January 29: 11:30-1:00 (BHC 130)

Information regarding how to register for the Honors in the Major Orientation will be sent through email to new Honors in the Major students at the beginning of each semester.
